Whose resentment and how come those people aren’t resentful already?

In what way is preventing racial discrimination in hiring “government-mandated conservative hires”?
And who is paying this chica to say such bizarre things?

The job market in academia being in the absolute toilet, a government mandate to hire conservatives would have an enormous and amazing effect. Even if people try to fake it, the act of reading something outside of the very far-far-left bubble would already be a very big deal. People get PhDs and full professorships without ever hearing a word about what conservatives actually believe.

One way to gain advantage in the culture war is to do a good job in the positions you do manage to obtain rather than demanding more positions.

“Whose resentment”
I’m old enough to remember when the ‘blogosphere’ was dominated by W-bros and reasonable voices were few and far between… Periodically a W-bro would stop by a more progressive blog and suggest that they’d get further if they came out in support of the war on terror and the Iraq invasion etc etc etc…
Helpful advice from political enemies is not a thing….
