I really like the food in Poland, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria… Czechia and Slovakia though…. yikes! I remember meeting more than one person who came to Poland after stints in those countries who had horror stories (one who felt he would lose his mind if he faced one more plate of knedliki, roast pork and overcooked cabbage). I do like some things from there occasionally but day in and day out it’s apparently very grim.
