This is an excellent illustration of the strength of heredity:
The eldest son of Norway’s crown princess was slapped with rape and sexual assault charges in a case with a “double-digit number” of alleged victims, authorities announced Friday.
The bombshell charges against Marius Borg Høiby — the 28-year-old son of Princess Mette-Marit and stepson to the heir to the throne, Crown Prince Haakon — follow him being arrested numerous times in 2024 as accusers came forward.
Høiby’s mother is from a family of criminals. His father, who never had much of a relationship with the mother, is a career criminal. Somehow, the mother managed to marry royalty but this changed nothing. Her son ended up on criminal charges anyway.
I actually pity the guy, his dad was a worthless loser and his mother comes from a family of criminals and then finds himself thrown in with the Norwegian royal family when his mother marries into royalty. Most likely he never fit in since he was illegitimate and not royal at all, with no place in the succession after his siblings were born.
So you have a guy with criminal genes adopted into a royal family where he doesn’t fit in and knows it, it’s no wonder he’s a messed up guy. I wonder what the prince was thinking, Edward VIII had to abdicate after wanting to marry a commoner, but at least Wallis Simpson wasn’t from a criminal family

The name of Oslo Police Attorney is Andreas Kruszewski. And the name of the defendant’s lawyer is Petar Sekulic. These are very Norwegian-sounding names indeed. Interesting.
For non-Europeans: Kruszewski and Sekulic are a Polish and a Croatian family name, respectively.
