These were relationships built on mutual influence and power – no money was exchanging hands over the delectable teens proffered. those were fringe benefits of the relationship.

The only thing that makes sense is blackmail. Seriously. The Left might not particularly care about being hypocrites, but those on the right generally don’t like doing it. Lying sure, human is human after all. But if they had lied, they would have quietly let the story die. Think arresting Hillary. It was allowed to die off. The way this was done. No this was ordered by someone else. Blackmail of some sort is really the only thing that fits.
