People who created this map should shut their nasty cakeholes about gerrymandering. Many of the deep red counties get zero congressional representation because of this. We are voiceless. I’m very, very upset.

Gerrymandering should be illegal. I remember when this went to the supreme Court and it was rules to be totally fine. No problem whatsoever.
Citizens United and gerrymandering ruling were a disaster.

Yes. It’s identical to the situation in Illinois, yet governor Pritzker goes on TV and rants against the evils of gerrymandering. The congressional map of Illinois is easily accessible online. Yet we are expected to believe the narrative he’s trying to sell. It’s very cynical and typical.

I mildly criticized Pritzker on FB, and now two colleagues have stopped greeting me in the hallways. Interestingly, I have not stopped greeting them in spite of knowing for years that they support him. There goes the tolerance some people claim to love. I’m endlessly tolerant of their beliefs but the moment I squeak something about my own, they are happy to discard me.
I will never understand how one can want to end a 17-year relationship because you disagree about Pritzker. These are very messed up priorities, in my view.

Gerrymandering was the main reason the apartheid government was able to gain and retain power. While being accused of being the white party, the DA is really the successor of the pre-apartheid United Party, while the ANC increasingly resembles the NP.
