Utah, of all places. It’s truly one global favela with overmedicated people with inflamed egos and in the grip of egotistical rage who are seething at the world because they can’t continue themselves, so they decide to discontinue others.
I don’t mean it’s a favela on economic terms, of course. None of these people are poor. It’s a moral and intellectual favela that they inhabit. Their poverty is not material. What they lack is not things. It’s the immaterial sphere of life that has been devastated, leaving these young men as empty husks.
