The vulgarity in both the Mormon and the Chinese guy is through the roof. The next step is truly to whip out their penises and start measuring them publicly.
To clarify: I don’t remotely believe that all Mormons and all Chinese are like this. It’s these two that I find objectionable.
It’s a mystery. These people are certifiably nuts.

Well if you’re Mormon, maybe you get to take your wealth to colonize the stars or something. I wouldn’t count on the USD-Venusian exchange rate being favorable though.
But yeah, if you optimized for money while young and missed out on raising your own kids… definitely your kids are gonna have other things to do than hang out with you, when you’re 85.
If you’re like my dad (not that I would wish that on anyone), the point of life is to accumulate as much money as you can before you cash in your chips — which is why our family never took vacations. He succeeded in his goal, and after his death his four surviving offspring were happy to get the money he’d salted away… but none of us had much of a relationship with him, none of us mourned his passing, and none of us miss him.
Exactly. And who’d blame them?

I hope so. I’ve been exploring neoliberal accounts on X to inspire me in my research into neoliberal striving and maybe I no longer can tell the real ones from the ones mocking the real ones.
