I never use AI translation for YouTube videos. Never turned it on. I watch everything in the original language, whatever it is.

Yesterday, I decided to watch Tucker Carlson’s interview with Sam Altman. No matter what device I use to access the video, it plays in Russian. I switch it off but whenever I pause, the Russian translation comes back on. It sounds funny because Russian words are longer, so everything gets accelerated to fit in the Russian voiceover.

AI knows.

    These dubs come on constantly for me and it’s so irritating

    It’s more reasonable to assume that AI knows who you are (someone who speaks russian) and is delivering content to you in a language it thinks (wrongly) you prefer, rather than AI infers tucker is a russian asset.

      I know, I was joking. Everybody knows Tucker belongs to Qatar. 😆😆😆
