The Musk Grift

The grift is absolutely shameless. Musk’s X algorithm puts a post with 200 likes as major news because the post is pro-mass migration.

I’m very low-engagement on X but I routinely get way over 200 likes. It’s really not a big deal to get this number of likes on the platform. You can say “so true” in response to somebody’s tweet and get several times the engagement of this stupid post about Dubai.

I don’t get promoted by the algorithm, though.

Yes, but you don’t write posts vaunting immigration as the solution to all our ills.

    1. That’s exactly it. Some deeply dumb person with zero insight into anything gets promoted because he chirps moronically about how great mass migration is.

I don’t want to be promoted on X. But I also don’t want this garbage to be given to me instead of news. X is my source of news because what else is there? And it’s shameful that this is the kind of garbage that I’m given.

I’ve been noticing this for a while. Today is the first time I posted about it but it happens a lot. No-name accounts get mega boosted for these kind of “insights.”
