Still, this is invariably funny:
“Maryam”, of course, is a Pakistani dude. This is instantly obvious to anybody who is active online without having to look at “Maryam’s” country of origin.
There’s nothing nefarious here. The Pakistani dude is trying to scratch out a living, getting clicks for entertaining the people whose clicks matter. He’s like a medieval minstrel of sorts.
The Great Unmasking of foreign poser accounts on X makes me feel a lot better about American literacy. The internet was making me despair: now I can safely assume the person doesn’t speak English when they report someone was “fatally killed” or “sewing discontent”.

Okay, that may somewhat help explain illiteracy, what about the level of of numeracy, and the abject complete lack of history. You just have to give our head a shake ;-D
