Revelations

No, not a sword. A scimitar. And it left no scarring.

People who waste their time and leak emotion in response to these “revelations” have my deep compassion. The next decade will not be easy for them.

  1. The more interesting tidbits coming out of that document drop are, IMO, the people who JE & Co. approached, but couldn’t inveigle.

    1. This all seems completely fake. How do we know that, in all the years that the government has had the control over these emails, one couldn’t pay money to have them edited in a favorable way? Or unfavorable towards an enemy?

I’d say there’s a lot of definitely fake stuff in it and also a lot of true stuff and they’re mixed together to confuse people and make them think it’s all a mess that it’s better to not engage with…

        Surkov style disinformation.

A lot of it is like a Rorschach, enough going on and confusing enough so that people will reveal themselves by what they latch onto.

        Joobrained – It’s Israel! It’s the Jooos!!!!

pro-Ukrainian – Look at all the russia stuff!!!!

Conspiracy crazy – Human sacrifice!!! What have we been saying??!!!

        Perverts – mmmmmm hot!

Exactly, this is standard operating procedure.

        3. “definitely fake stuff”

There are at least three kinds of fake possible:

Outright fakes that circulate on social media but are not in the DOJ database

False claims about Epstein that were submitted to DOJ (whether as a prank or due to delusion) and are in the database in that form

Forged Epstein emails (etc) which the DOJ database presents as authentic

Are you talking about the third category?

      1. IMO, 2mil settlement is chump change. But: if it opens the door for further suits, GO GO GO. This is what will end the madness.

        1. Can it still be reduced by a judge? The 2 mil is, indeed, a very insufficient amount for the terrible damage inflicted, but I hope it’s at least the final amount with no activist judge reducing it to insignificance.

Yes. There need to be dozens and dozens of these lawsuits.

    1. THIS is the way you kill that trans surgery stuff on children. You hold the doctors accountable and bankrupt the hospitals doing those operations on minors. This kind of flew under the radar, but it’s great news towards putting a final end to this nonsense.

    2. There are way too many victims, way too lenient a sentence from 2007 case against Epstein for this stuff to be false. We really are ruled by terrible evil people and that’s why the world is such a mess. I have no doubt about that.

        1. Trump is such a deeply flawed leader. He’s all persona, all character, no real substance beneath the orange spray tan veneer.

Sorry Clarissa, there is just no capable leadership to really put a stop to Putin. The world has failed Ukraine.

The only consolation is Russia will come out of this much worse off than it went in. They’re going down, but are also taking Ukraine down with them.

  2. “It’s all fake” lol no it isn’t. Somebody should’ve told him that this was all fake and he didn’t need to resign.

I’m sorry you’re finding it hard to process the actions and behavior of your co-ethnics. If screaming “FAKE FAKE ALL FAKE” helps with the process, please go on.

  5. Another interesting question:

allegedly there are a lot more documents that were not made public yet. Why and how did the DOJ select these particular documents? What message are they sending and to whom? It is of course possible that there is no other purpose but muddying the waters, but what if there is some other purpose?

          1. From what is trickling into my newsfeed it seems like a who’s-who of everybody was photographed cozying up to these people.

Which is why I’ve found the handful of apparent failures more interesting: people who refused the invitation, people who met them and then turned down any further contact, people who were apparently *too weird* even for the Epstein crowd (chuckles). Some of those, like Trump and Musk… eh who knows maybe the records were manipulated to write them out. But I think it’s a point in the favor of people like Gavin Andresen and Michael Saylor, that their names turn up only in that context. I’d love to see a complete list of those.

And as far as plans go – there may be the plans that are not necessarily “administration’s plans”, they could be some faction’s plans. For instance, I was surprised that there were quite a lot of materials that could be used for antismitic propaganda… May mean we are dealing with either anti-Israeli faction, or, the other extreme, with a faction so pro-Israeli that they do no see anything wrong with some things Epstein was saying… because everybody around them is saying the same things)

And Mamdani’s mother – meh. She is not in political office. I hope we never get to a point where children will be judged for the sins of their parents.
