People are naive. The real reason is grift. It’s easy to hide trees in a forest. And it’s really easy to skim off the top when expenditures are huge.

    Israeli leaders aren't dumb. They know a stable democracy isn't going to emerge out of this destruction, but that Iran is heading for sectarian strife and chaos and Europe will face a refugee crisis.
