A month ago, a group of MENA migrants beat up a gay couple in the Basque city of Vitoria in Spain. They were released. Yesterday, they knifed several young people in Vitoria. It’s very likely that they will be released again very soon.
This is the future of embracing “the indigenous ways of knowledge” over the West’s civilization. Of course, there’s nobody more indigenous to Spain than the gay Basques assaulted by the migrants. But “indigenous” is a word that means the exact opposite of its original meaning these days. It means primitive, uncivilized, non-Western. It is a great and wonderful achievement of the Western civilization that women and gay people can walk around, unmolested and unbothered. It’s not the norm. It’s a civilizational advance of one single civilization. It’s a great advance, and I love it.
The reason why neither women nor gays can say that it’s not OK that this civilizational advance is being taken away is what I discussed in the previous post. They can’t bring themselves to say that Western is better than non-Western. They will get beaten and raped in increasing numbers and will accept the consolation prize in the form of rainbow flags and female superheroes in movies. But they will not transgress the foundational idea of leftism which is that non-Western is superior to Western.
The problem, as I keep repeating, is not that we are too Western. It’s that we are not Western enough. We can’t say, “fuck off, you stupid savage, leave my gay brothers alone.” We are siding with savagery against ourselves, against gay friends and teenage sisters. Because we don’t believe we are better. We believe we are worse. That is the source of our problems. The good news is that we can cure this without giving up air conditioners and dishwashers. We don’t need to dismantle the nation-state and dedicate ourselves to subsistence farming. Things are not nearly as bad as all that.
