If there was ever a country unable to repay kindness with kindness:
For absolutely no reason whatsoever and exceptionally tiny economic gain, Israel is assisting Russian genocide of Ukrainians.
I can’t even say that I’m disappointed because I didn’t expect anything better.

Does no one recognize what a threat Israel is to the USA? It has to be the most cuck relationship between two countries in the history of the world. Israel creates wars that send Arabs into europe and america, sells our military tech to China, and is actively supporting our enemy in Eastern Europe.

I suspect it comes down to two things, one for the religious part of their government and one for the non-religious part of their government.
The more atheist part of their government likely realizes that their global position was already in the progress of breaking. Regardless of if you believe what we were taught about WWII and if the holocaust was a lie or not. What cannot be denied is that Israel used both to obtain a foothold and massive influence in every single Western nation regardless of what side they were on during the war.
This influence was used to reshape the nations, stomping down on nationalism and patriotism, and convincing people that trying to stop the flow of foreigners was fascism and would bring back the holocaust. (Over the decades, not all at once.)
What cannot be denied is that this influence has been breaking down. Events almost a century ago do not matter to the young. What does matter to them is seeing their nations and their people be directed like puppets on a string. A massive backlash against Israel was already growing even before Gaza, much less the current mess.
So for the atheistic part of their government, this is the last throw of the dice. Given twenty years Israel would have no influence left anywhere. As the boomers finally die out, and the millennials take their place Israel will be cut off from outside funding, outside weapons, intelligence, etc. So for their government now is likely the last time to use their influence before it dries up. It is quite literally do or die time. Either they win and take the middle east or they die bringing their enemies with them.
For the more religious members of their government, they are likely focusing on two things. First that God will defend them as he has in the past. Material weapons don’t really matter if God decides you win. Unfortunately for them going by the prophecies of the old and new testaments. It is very likely two of three of them will be dead in the next decade if now is the end times. Which it very much looks like is on the verge of starting.
Secondly the religious members of their government reject Jesus as their messiah. They believe that their messiah is coming, and wish to prepare the third temple for him. Unfortunately for them, the one coming to them will be the Anti-Christ, and that won’t end well for anyone.
Essentially both sides of their government want Israel to become the dominant state in the Middle East with the destruction of their enemies. They don’t really care how, just so long as it happens. They are also fully aware of how hated they are and are willing to take the risk as winning means they get everything. After all both our (US) intel reports and theirs were very clear. In less than twenty years they will lose all support from the west in General and the US in particular. So if they want to roll the dice, its now or never and damn the consequences.

The ironic thing is that there was a lot of positive feeling for Israel in Ukraine. As you say, the list of the countries with positive attitudes towards Israel is dwindling. Yet they go and anger Ukrainians for absolutely no gain. Stupid people, is all I can say. This is an object lesson to all of us in what happens when people massively overplay their hand.

Are we sure its the government of Israel and not some corporations doing business on the side?
Actually now that I am thinking about it. It might be that their government is looking into the world wide food issues that look to be occurring next year and for the next few years. They might be purchasing it to stock up. In which case its not dumb to do.
Oh it would certainly look bad, but if they were concerned about a worldwide food issues, then buying from enemies makes sense. Oh it looks bad, but I suspect no one would be willing to sell them food at that point next year, and well they are at war with Iran which makes it difficult to farm meaning even more food issues.
Its hard to say with just that little bit we can see.

Ukrainians sent several official protests to Netanyahu. He knows and continues doing it.
I’m thinking it’s simply stupid, smug, in-your-face greed and contempt. They have the US president playing in their corner, so why not?

I mean its certainly possible, but as much as I despise Netanyahu, I don’t want to simply assign to stupidity what might have actual planning behind it.
I mean look at the war with Iran. Its foolish and is killing lots of people without reason and that is without touching the damage done to the rest of the world and the shear anger its generating.
But there is a reason behind it. Not a particularly good one and definitely not one I agree with, but there is a reason behind their actions.
Thus if this is the Israeli government like you stated, then there is likely a reason behind this move. Maybe one the looks moronic, but its more likely than them simply deciding to do this in the middle of a war without any reason other than greed and corruption.
I mean if it was gold, or some sort of strategic reserve, or treasures of various types. Then yes greed and corruption would likely be the answer.
But this is grain. There is an expiration date on the grain. Which is why like milk you can’t use it as collateral in getting a loan. Similarly I highly doubt Russians gave it to them for free either. Which means they almost certainly paid the Russians for it, either in cash or in trade. Which again would not signal greed and corruption as typically those pop up when you are siphoning off money or goods without paying for them.
I believe they are stockpiling food for the next year or two. Keep in mind, the religious part of their government believes in the end times too. They also believe it to be upon us, as in they openly state that their messiah is currently walking the earth; and one thing that was prophesied for the end times was a massive worldwide famine. Part of the 1 in every 4 people dying bit.
In which case, buying up and stashing away grain, especially if other nations don’t know about it would allow …. I was going to say their people, but likely just their leadership to not join everyone else in starving when the clock runs out.

I was actually mentioning this the other day, but there is an old testament prophecy that I believe is actually taking place this very moment. Well over the last few years or so, not really a single day event.
Zechariah 12 is the prophecy. The highlights are these.
Now I could be interpreting this wrong, but specific parts can only in fact happen at specific times, and enough of the remainder does seem to fit our current time that I do think this prophesy is now.
Anyway, just some food for thought.

Netanyahu is personally responsible for the Refugee crisis in Europe that has been rocking the social stability of the continent. Netanyahu advocated for Neo conservatives to do the war with Iraq. If the West had waited instead for Saddam Hussein to die, we would have likely seen what happened in a variety of different states where a more moderate figure could have took power. However, destabilizing Iraq allowed the ability for Isis factions to take power in that country, and then whenever the Arab Spring happened and people were protesting the Assad regime Isis was able to put a foothold into Syria and cause one of the most horrific Refugee crises that will likely be the downfall of European hegemony.
the refusal to create a Sovereign Palestinian State during Oslo brought October 7th upon them. And at every case, they have turned to the United States to bail them out.
and what do we get out of this relationship? More dead americans, more raped European women, and more funding for Israel.

Regarding immigration, I guess you’re confusing Jews in Israel with Jews in western countries. Jews in Israel always had more immediate things to worry about than western immigration policy. It’s Jews in the West who have supported diversity in the West – and even then, remember that there are non-Jewish causes for the West’s policies, such as the very individualism of classical liberal society, and the way that technologies of communication and transportation make a “global village” far more natural than in the past.
As for Israel’s motives regarding its neighbors, pretty much everything can be explained by the fact that its neighbors have been seeking to abolish Israel ever since it was created. It’s not about being conquered, the aim of rejectionist states like Nasser’s Egypt, Saddam’s Iraq, Assad’s Syria, and Khamenei’s Iran has been to entirely get rid of Israel. Since the fall of Saddam, Iran has been the main center of organized opposition to Israel’s existence, and the path from October 7 to war with Iran was short, because Hamas had become part of Iran’s network of allies and proxies.

Exactly. That’s what I’m trying to explain. Those American and European Jews who are pro-immigration hate Israel. They are all complaining pro-Palestinian. They feel guilt for not moving to Israel and this is their way of justifying that decision to themselves. Israel’s domestic and foreign policy is driven by Jews who are genetically and culturally different from the US and European Jews. Ben Shapiro is not representative of American Jews. He married a Sephardic Moroccan woman, and that turned him in this direction.

The whole conflict on US campuses around the Pro-Palestinian movement was organized entirely by liberal Jewish professors. This is a conflict between two ethnic varieties of Jews. It’s obvious even in the last names. I personally know the two people who organized these protests in STL. Guess what? They are Jews.

In SA pro Palestine are mostly Muslims and anti-apartheid people. Maybe the Jewish dominance is just due to the lack of diversity in the US.
