An Angry Employee?

This is not an old post. It’s from today:

What do you think? Somebody is trying to get the royal family in trouble? Show them up as cruel dweebs who mock the suffering of the people? Nobody in the royal family actually writes this. This is an employee who can have all sorts of motivations.

  1. IKR? My initial thought on seeing that one is “Is somebody on their social media team trying to get them killed?” My sibling speculates that perhaps it was simply a scheduled post. Scheduled weeks ago, forgotten. Still poorly considered, but would’ve been written pre-report.

    1. Possibly “the powers that be” desperately need a kinder, gentler face rather than that of nasty British men considering flogging, deportation, and the death penalty ;-D

My best guess is they’re testing the water. Someone is paying attention to the ratio of sympathy/outrage/indifference.

The ptb in the UK are doing their best to ignore it and American liberals are helping by quibbling about numbers or percentages in order to change to topic and ignore the systematic sexual abuse of vulnerable young indigenous women…

Alternate take…. humiliation ritual for the public: We can rub your faces in our indifference to you and there’s nothing you can do about it! (lots evil laughter).

  3. The class system is still going strong. It’s important for people to maintain their national traditions.
