This is one of my most favorite places in the world: the entrance into the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature. Of course, the goal is to make them less foreign to the students. 🙂

  1. When I worked in the foreign languages department of my old school, there were signs on the door saying “No smoking” in every language from Arabic to Zulu. Of course, my former boss was a heavy chain smoker, so I get the feeling that the signs didn’t really sink in.
