Finally, I will have a schedule that suits me: sleep from 2 to 5 pm, have dinner at 10 pm, go to bed at 3 am.

My daughter spent 6 months in Madrid last year and, according to her experience, that’s the schedule most madrilenos have. So, I guess you’re going to have lots of fun. I feel jealous.

Oh, I long for that schedule. despite in every other way being very much well adapted to life in northern Europe, my body naturally defaults to a Spanish sleep schedule whenever it can. Have fun!

I love the second part of the plan, but are we seriously going to be napping?

All stores and restaurants will be closed and, depending on the weather, we will see what we can find to do.

There are hotels in Spain with on-site “castizo” restaurants. So, no worry. There is plenty to do in Madrid, daughter said, and when you are exhausted of sight-seeing you can return to the hotel, have a nice meal and jump with N into your room jacuzzi. Have fun!

I’m not traveling with N this time. But thank you!
