Amazon’s algorithm to decide how to target advertising is flawed. But so are the similar algorithms of almost every business. For example, after I have bought a car, I always get regular and pointless ads from the car dealers. I might have responded before buying a car, but after buying one it will be years before I do so again. By that time, the ads have stopped, of course.
