It is very curious how the same people who decry objectification find it impossible to believe that when you respond to their posts you are engaging with them on an intellectual level and addressing their ideas. Instead, they choose to believe that you must have something personal against them.
There are a disturbing number of people who take any disagreement at all (no matter how civil), or even requests for clarification, to be a challenge to their intellectual worth. Presumably, they feel that the only appropriate response to their opinion is fawning adulation of the person expressing it.
I’ve been trying not to talk to these people.

well, because it is very common for many who wish to be seen as intellectuals to take an omniscient perspective and express doubt about the very facts of one’s life.

Ive always found the expression. “Its nothing personal I just disagree with the idea you express”. Are someones ideas not a partial representation of their personality?

One’s ideas are a product of one’s intellect. But only if one has an intellect.

Sure, just like your leg is part of your body. One system Clarissa. They are all part and parcel of one system. The only divide is the one you create to ensure your ideas are the right ones, lol. Im so glad you have the right intellect for those kind of ideas. Im sure it is no reflection on your personality though!

There is no need to try so hard to prove my point about the absence of intellect.
