I Told You So

Didn’t I tell you years ago that Julian Assange was an idiot? He has no confirmed my belief by suggesting that the only hope gore the US is to elect Rand Paul for president. Rand Paul and Ron Paul are politicians he admires deeply. I can’t link at this point but you will easily find the news through a web search.

I always said he was nothing but a silly airhead on the quest to become rich and famous. Trying to attach some progressive ideology to him is a waste of time. He is too silly to have an ideology which is why the favorite politicians of immature teenagers appeal to him.

  1. Then obviously you should apply that logic to all of the candidates in the elections. For the most part(big part) they are all full of shit. 😉

  2. Why are his political beliefs relevant here? I can only comment on his actions, and I’d support the actions of anyone who tries to expose government crimes and coverups. His personal motivation for doing so may be for personal glory, fame, fortune, groupies, whatever.

I remember you saying ‘I told you so’ because he had a talk show on Russian television. I still don’t see the problem with that. Is he not allowed to make money off his new-found fame?

I see the same shit with Snowden. These endless debates on what might have motivated him, his girlfriend’s looks, all the minute details of his personal life, but nary a moment spent on discussing what exactly he revealed through his actions.

Umm, I think we might agree on something. 😉

And Obama sold himself to a few people too. 🙂 seems to me it could be a wash, lol.

    2. To me, anybody who supports these “so let them die if they have no health insurance” creeps is a creep himself. I don’t think that the ends justify the means. If he is so vocally supportive of somebody this disgusting, then that’s important to know.

      – Politicians one supports are not details of one’s personal life. Such support constitutes political activism.

    3. And, on Snowden and Manning, they are not willing to consider that their motivations could have been those stated. The supposition is that nobody normal, stable, healthy, etc. would reveal abuse for the sake of revealing abuse.

      1. Well, people that get surrounded by large personal cults usually have some “quirks”. Sometimes, this is stupidity. 😀

I agree wholeheartedly, next in line are people who attach too much to their ethnicity. 😉

  3. Anybody who believes that significant change (except maybe secession) could come from a politician is an idiot, especially when the politician is a racist women-hater religious extremist like the Pauls.

  4. Unfortunately, civil liberties is box office poison in electoral politics, which may be why H. Clinton is an overwhelming favorite for the D. Party nomination. For some time now I have seen more integrity in the strident factions of both parties than in the moderate or pragmatic factions of either party. While most congressional votes have been along party lines, there have been exceptions, which I think may be the signal amidst the noise. The TARP vote was largely means vs. extremes. A more recent example was the Conyers-Amash bill.
