I keep hearing warnings that people will say insensitive, hurtful things to me. I know this will not happen, though. There are only very kind, good people around me, and they will never want to wound. And if somebody says something that I might not want to hear, I will know that this is only because they are confused by suffering and will not judge them.
It is very good to be able to feel complete confidence in one’s circle of acquaintance.

I think it would take a terribly heartless and evil person to knowingly say something cruel to you right now. And perhaps I’m naïve, but I actually think most people are kind at the core. But at any rate, I’m so glad that you are surrounded by good people. You deserve it.

I agree, most people are good and kind. Those who will knowingly and deliberately want to wound are very rare.

Most people assume most people are worse people than they are. If that makes sense. Normally even people who make things worse are just trying to help, like whoever sent you that soap.
