I’m Not Made for This

So I started looking for a car on Craigslist.

Found one in my price range and felt really good about it.

One thing bothered me: the seller kept referring to it as “a bike.”

It was only 30 minutes later that I realized that this car was actually a motorcycle.

  1. I bought my car on craigslist (actually!) and I have three pieces of advice:
-Never trust anything that doesn’t have pictures in the ad.
-Take someone with you who knows about cars when you go see it. (And make an inspection by a certified mechanic part of the purchase agreement… an inspection that YOU are witness to, not just one that the seller did and hands you a piece of paper with the results)
-If the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is. But hey, you never know! (I got an incredible deal on my car, and it has served me very well and is in pretty much perfect condition. It was 5 when I got it, and its now 10 and going strong, hopefully for another 10 years)

    Good luck! 🙂

    1. I’m very ignorant about cars. I suggested to N that he should give somebody money to take away his old broken car. He smiled and sold it for $1,800, and people were actually fighting to get this old piece of junk. Weirdness.
