A Stupid Myth

One of the most pernicious and stupid myths is that the West is on the side of Ukraine in its conflict with Russia because Western newspapers and magazines keep publishing cartoons ridiculing Putin. As if this were what Ukrainians wanted or needed.

If instead of these idiotic cartoons the media dropped the offensive and ridiculous screechings about “the civil war in Ukraine” and “Ukrainian rebels / separatists”, that would constitute actual support.

Putin doesn’t care about cartoons. He cares that his propaganda about the non-existent Ukrainian separatists is working. And it is.

    1. I blogged about those who shot down the airplane almost immediately after they did it. I knew it was done by the Russian terrorists because they took responsibility. They posted gleeful accounts of shooting down the plane right after doing it. Later, they deleted the accounts but everybody who wanted to know already did.

The story here is simple: Russia invaded Ukraine. There isn’t much else to it, really.

          1. I tried to ask. I had a weird facebook conversation, because I made a comment on the present Australian government’s stance “against Russia” in relation to MH17. I said that despite this being a right wing govt, they seemed to have got something correct. Then someone responded, “Why do you think that?” and I didn’t hve anything to say apart from what I had already said. But apparently, anything our government does, because it is right wing, is automatically wrong. At least, that was what I took from the strange dialogue, which went on a bit more like that, much not much.

  1. OK, here are the answers (which are absolutely obvious, by the way):
Russia is an aggressive fascist country led by a person praising Goebbels publicly and hating freedom.
Most of Russians (I mean people living in Russia, not ethnic Russians) are fond of totalitarianism.
In Ukraine, Russia provides a huge military support to the anti-Ukrainian bandits.
The Malaysian airplane was shot down by the above-mentioned anti-Ukrainian bandits. According to Ukrainian intelligence, it was a mistake: in fact, the bandits wanted to shoot down a Russian ‘Aeroflot’ airplane to create a pretext for a Russian military occupation of Ukraine as a ‘retaliation’.
The West is terribly afraid of Russia as the latter supplies oil and gas to them and has nuclear missiles.
Western media watch Russian instead of Ukrainian TV and ‘inform’ people correspondingly.
Hopefully, this makes the whole thing clear.
