The World of Weirdos

Who are all those scary people who followed Monica Lewinsky on Twitter?

The world is a scary,  confusing place at times.

  1. At first, I wondered whether they threatened her or something because of the word “scary” in your description. 🙂

If you meant “scarily stupid,” I am not sure all people, who entertain themselves by reading (about) a celebrity, are so. Some want to “clear a head” with this sort of mindless entertainment.

    1. The only reason she is a celebrity is that she had sex with a president 17 years ago. Boring! I can’t imagine anybody in their right mind caring any longer. The news cycle has turned so many times since then!

    1. What does sexism have to do with it???

She was used by Republicans back in 1998 and now she is being used by them again, that’s all there is to the story.

  2. I think Monica bought her Twitter followers from a Bangladeshi click-farm. She has only 2 tweets, follows nobody, yet has 40.5k followers, and all that in less than 12 hours. Yes, of course…

  3. I have always thought more highly of Monica Lewinsky than anyone else I know does. I might follow her for a day or two to see what she has to say, if I were on Twitter. However, Twitter, from the outside, seems like a silly way to spend time. Reading blogs and looking around on Facebook offer more, I think.
