Now I’m wondering about the identity of the ‘birds’ you’ve been watching and starting suspect that some of them might be squirrels or raccoons or possums.
In Kyrgyz the word for turtle is Tashbaka and the word for frog Baka. Tashbaka literally means armored frog. So a turtle is a type of frog in the former USSR. 😎

Not everybody is doing it. My guess is that people who are leaving for Florida or wherever are removing them before they leave.
