Did another airplane go missing? Is anybody following the story and can share with me what’s happening?
I won’t be able to get on the computer and look it up until the night.

An air asia flight is rumored to have crashed just off the Malaysia coast. It was flying from Indonesia to Singapore carrying 162 people. The pilot requested ascent to altitude to get out of clouds and then lost connection with air control and the plane hasn’t been heard of since. Very sad. Many children and one baby aboard.

It’s another Airbus gone wrong.
You might remember the TAM crash in 2007 — that was an ugly crash site.

Maybe the glass cockpit went dark?

I think we can take it as read that Air Asia will soon be a former airline — they don’t have the margins to be able to afford to lose even one A320.
