New Charlie Hebdo Cover

The new Charlie Hebdo cover:

These are incredibly brilliant people. With so many of their comrades dead and in an environment of grief and rage, they came up with the perfect cover for the magazine.

As we all know by now, this was a struggling magazine that was not likely to survive for much longer. Cartoonists go out of business faster than cobblers these days. The terrorists obviously knew that the interest in the cartoons that supposedly offended them was minimal. And now the whole world is waiting for the magazine’s next installment.

This epic cover is the most motivational thing I have seen in a while.

    1. Good article, thank you.

“The blood on the floor of Charlie Hebdo’s offices was still wet when, moving on with callous speed from worrying about the terrible fate of 10 journalists, the respectable media started fretting about the danger now faced by European Muslims. We should all fear ‘the coming Islamophobic backlash’, said one hack. The Guardian thunderously warned that ‘Islamophobes [will] seize this atrocity to advance their hatred’.”

      • These fantasies simply betrayed their own deep-seated desires to bash Muslims.

“Islamophobia is in essence a multicultural conceit, the invention of infinitesimally small, aloof, crisis-ridden elites keen to clamp down on any heated or overly judgmental discussion of non-Western values.”

      • When I see these terrifying, shrouded women in London or Montreal, my very first reaction is that of horror and disgust. I take their presence in my field of vision as a direct insult to me. And the leering, ogling, extremely rude men who accompany them are a further insult. I think we need to discuss these feelings openly because they are shared by many people. But we will only be able to discuss them if we remove the word “Islam” from the discussion altogether. This is not about religion at all. But every time the issue arises, it immediately drowns in the flood of very ignorant discussions of a religion nobody knows anything about.
