A Small News Update

1. The Netherlands have finished their official investigation of the crash of the flight MH17. The investigators will soon make it public.

2. The American far right scored a huge victory this week. The Tea Party managed to shut down the Ex-Im bank. Obama is still fighting to save it, though.

3. One of Josh Duggar ‘ s victims who’s not a family member is filing a suit against him.

4. Dilma Rousseff is finally meeting with Obama to distract attention from a huge corruption scandal in Brazil.

5. Macy’s is ditching Donald Trump – branded underwear.

6. Rand Paul’s campaign is do hopeless that he is ducking up to Cliven Bundy. Nobody else will vote for him, it seems.

7. The US soccer team beat Germany 2:0.

8. The US is opening an embassy in Cuba.

So most of the news today looks good.

    1. I’m guessing Macy’s will not lose a lot of profit because of dumping this merchandise. I mean, is there anybody here who’d like to undress a guy who wears Donald Trump underwear?

      I’m sure there’s no women’s underwear with the Trump name.

    I maintain careful neturality until I have more info.
    Good for the person filing the suit! (sorry about the reason, but good for them for making it public). Those who life by self-righteousness die by self-righteousness.

    I’m assuming that only people wishing for celibacy would buy such a thing so now they’ll have find something even grosser to alienate others, lots of luck on that one.
    I have some respect for his father, but Rand Paul seems like the classic case of offspring trying to follow in their parents’ footsteps without having whatever it was that made the parent successful.
    I’m not interested at all. I can vaguely enjoy mens’ national soccer but this just seems like the worst of soccer without the redeeming features of spectacle and ersatz warfare that the mens game provides.
    About effin’ time. The pig-headed Miami Cubans have done more to help Castro and hurt their countrymen than anyone else. Many of them even realize this and still can’t let go of their stupid policies. I’m so glad this special interest group is losing its influence.

  6. I watched yesterday a TV program about Ethiopian Jews and turns out there is a complicated situation with parts of them, called The Falash Mura. Here is a good explanation:
