Happy Canada Day!

It’s not a good sign of one’s Canadianess when one discovers that today is Canada Day from a Ukrainian website. Plus, I don’t have a drop of maple syrup in the house.

I have a feeling Canada will soon call for its passport back.

It might be okay if you have some back bacon, a few pints of Moulson, Kraft dinner or microwaveable poutine on hand.

If not, then yeah, you’ll be needing to send that passport back, eh?

I’ve got nothing from this list. I suck something fierce.

No, never. It’s a dream of mine to cross Canada on a road trip.

      Thank you for the link!

A belated Happy Canada Day to you. I went out and got the traditional hamburger and ate it with an area microbrewery beer before watching the fireworks at a local park. On Canada Day, a lot of burger chains have a competition for the best hamburger and I went to a chain called the Burger Priest (“It’s time for redemption…come feast with us.”) which advertised a special C.D. only “Confederation” burger with Ontario bacon, Nova Scotia lobster tail and Quebec maple syrup.

By the way, Canada Day was one second longer this year due to the addition of a leap second at midnight. If you think that one second has no effect, guess again.
