that the United States will open an embassy in Cuba, thereby taking a final step to forming normal relations with the Castro regime, Texas Senator Ted Cruz slammed the decision as a “slap in the face of Israel.”
Just imagine this genius running our foreign policy.
I’m deeply confused.
1)How much do the Israelis care about Cuba?
2) From what I understand the embassy is in Tel Aviv because who wants to sit in a city where everything is contested and there’s no currently running airport in Jerusalem (per Wikipedia). Nobody has an embassy in Jerusalem. Clearly the entire world is slapping Israel in the face.

If we try to find logic in Ted Cruz’s statements, we will simply lose our minds. There is no reason or logic there. He just says these weird things without any consideration for what they mean.

I know there’s no logic. I was just trying to parse wingnuttese. Surely, for every person that’s boggled, there’s two sagely nodding at some code.
This is a highly educated “genius” who was born in Canada, and went to Princeton and was a editor of Harvard Law review . Maybe it makes him better at bullshit and illogic? Surely this education makes him more prepared for the presidency than someone possessing a mere bachelor’s from a no-name school. I mean, how could a mere college graduate generate such sophistry?

Cuban soldiers fought against Israel in the Golan with the Syrians in 1974. The Cubans sent an armored brigade to Syria to man T-62 tanks after the 1973 war since the Syrians had nobody capable of operating them.
