Do you ever get this feeling of, “OK, I haven’t had a drop of liquor in months but I feel soused to the eyeballs”?
Last night, N and I went out for a walk here in DC, and all of a sudden I saw a stream of people dressed in identical shirts with the Russian last name “Ovechkin” on them pass me by. The stream seemed endless because more and more Ovechkins kept joining it.
“Ovechkin” in Russian comes from the word “sheep”, and the steady stream of these identical people bearing the word ” sheep” in Russian on their backs made me feel completely drunk in the midst of long-term sobriety.
Of course, there was a perfectly reasonable explanation to the advent of the Ovechkins in Washington, DC but we arrived at it after feeling like we were losing our mental capacities.

To my great shame, I lost all track of hockey in the last 8 years. The very last game I watched was the Stanley Cup of 2007, on the night when u met my husband. 🙂

That’s ok, I was just messing with you😆 Ovie is a helluva player but unfortunately dumb as a rock, he’s buds with Putin and things he’s a great leader. At least my boy Sidney Crosby stays away from that and won two gold medals 😁

Ovechkin 2nd best player in the world? Are you serious? Have you ever seen the toothless and brainless loser playing for the Russian national team? To say he’s good for nothing is to say nothing.
Well, some people consider Maradona, a (or the) handball scorer, to be the best soccer player ever. 🙂 According to such connoisseurs, Ovechkin is great, too.

I’m only kidding, I’m a Pens fan and no one is as good as our boy Sid😁 The way Caps fans talk about Ovie you would think he’s the second coming of Gretzky but he’s never won a Cup or a gold medal while Sid is a member of the Triple Gold club, plus Ovie can’t play defense worth a Damn and his plus/minus is shit.
