Turns out that the man who murdered a teacher and a student with a sword at a school in Sweden was motivated by hatred of immigrants. The news of the attack was all over the media, yet I had to hunt down the revelation about the killer’s motive in a tiny little piece printed in a very small script deep inside the NYTIMES.

Ukrainian media are reporting that a human rights activist and her daughter were gang raped at a Syrian refugee camp. Apparently, this is not the same activist who was gang raped at a French camp back in September. It’s impossible to figure out whether it’s true.

I wonder if we are ever going to get any reporting on the events that deviate from the saccharine “Europeans and refugees joyfully embrace each other at the train station amidst gifts and flowers” which is all we are seeing in lieu of reporting today.

    The Gatestone Institute has been reporting on Europe’s immigrant crisis, which has, for the most part, been hushed up by western media. Here are links to an article titled Muslim Invasion of Europe and Germany: Asylum Seekers Make Demands. Daniel Greenfield, at Front Page Magazine, recently posted an article titled Muslim “refugees” bring pregnant little girls as “child brides” to Europe.

    When I posted the Gatestone Institute article on the Muslim invasion of Europe at Warsclerotic, I included a parenthetical reference to Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s autobiography, Infidel, at the top. Her autobiography illuminates the plight of young girls and women in Kenya, Somalia and Saudia Arabia. Their suffering now appears to be migrating to much of Europe.

      “Dutch asylum centres are reportedly housing 20 child brides aged between 13 and 15, while three a week on average are arriving to the country. The brides were granted legal permission to join their older partners after the country recognised marriages involving young teenagers if they are officially registered in their home country.”

      • I had no idea. Have the Dutch gone insane?

      “An asylum seeker from Somalia successfully sued the German Agency for Migration and Refugees for taking too long to process his application — 16 months.”

      • Gosh, I just realized that I missed a great opportunity back when I was emigrating to Canada. It took the embassy 2,5 years to process my application. Maybe I should have sued.

    I think it is, but such things are usually hushed for political reasons. There is pressure on women to keep quiet in order not to “hurt the cause.”

    In Israel such thing is old news – [from 2012] “Female activists accuse leftist organizations of belittling cases of harassment by Palestinians for the sake of the struggle against the occupation.”

      • Right, this must be a person who heard the same TV report that I did.

      There is a lot of really childish, wide-eyed idealism in these activist young women who descend on the refugee camps “to help the less fortunate” and then discover how women are treated outside of the Western feminist bubble. Somebody I know just left for Austria with a burning desire to help “the poor refugees.” Her American mother thinks it’s a fantastic idea. And I hope that both of them still feel the same a year from now.

        • I wish women remembered that men will always, ALWAYS feel solidarity with other men. The moment you forget that your focus should be women’s rights, you will be told to put up with all kinds of abuse because that’s convenient for some male cause du jour.

    The media I can find about Sweden suggests that Sweden is disinvesting in the native population and making taking care of migrants their number one priority (see previous links and further stories I’ve seen about their intention to borrow more and cut down on services for citizens.

    This will doubtless create blowback (receptions centers being set on fire, crazy school stabber) but they seem very determined to continue course. I suspect they’re playing down news about Swedes taking violent issue with government policy (partly also not to give ideas to people in other countries).

      And what a great excuse to accelerate the dismantling the nation-state. The borders are erased, the social safety net is withdrawn, and if you question this, you are a neo-Nazi.

      The rollback of the nation-state would have happened anyway but a method gas been found to shut up anybody who might want to protest. This is actually quite brilliant.

          danmillerinpanama, I read your link and it’s truly something. 😦

          “politically correct” and “lame” are microaggressions, but “Republican Jews” and “rich Jews” are A-OK.

          Sadly, I am not surprised. There is plenty of anti-Semitism both on the Left and the Right, it is simply expressed differently at times.

        This is why it’s so crucial to know about the nation-state and its trajectory. There are actual “no borders” movements in Europe that advocate for the erasure of all borders and don’t seem to have any awareness that this equals the immediate end of the social safety net. Ignorance is a crime.

        I believe most people already want to protest. In Israel, people wouldn’t be shut up this way. Europeans may take more time, but they won’t be shut up forever either.

        Soon, after initial enthusiasm of helping Muslim immigrants dies off and after people feel their economic position becoming significantly worse, few people will shut up because of this excuse. Only a few ultra-Left people will continue to buy this.

        What are those “they” thinking?! Clarissa, you write about “a great excuse to accelerate the dismantling the nation-state,” are those “they” thinking in those terms too? Don’t “they” live in Sweden too that turning a country into a hellhole seems a great idea?

          The Death of Europe:

          The same European values that require Sweden, a country of less than 10 million, to take in 180,000 Muslim migrants in one year also expects the new “Swedes” to celebrate tolerance, feminism and gay marriage. Instead European values have filled the cities of Europe with Shariah patrols, unemployed angry men waving ISIS flags and the occasional public act of terror.

          Europe invested in the values of its welfare state. The Muslim world invested in large families. Europe expects the Muslim world to bail out its shrinking birth rate by working and paying into the system so that its aging population can retire. The Muslim migrants however expect Europe to subsidize their large families with its welfare state while they deal some drugs and chop off some heads on the side. Once again, European values are in conflict with European survival.

          The European values that require Europe to commit suicide are about ideology, not language, culture or nationhood. But the incoming migrants don’t share that ideology. They have their own Islamic values. Why should 23-year-old Mohammed work for four decades so that Hans or Fritz across the way can retire at 61 and lie on a beach in Mallorca? The idea that Mohammed would ever want to do such a thing out of love for Europe was a silly fantasy that European governments fed their worried citizens. Mohammed doesn’t share European values. Nor are they likely to take hold of him no matter how often the aging teachers, who hope he gets a job and subsidizes their retirement, try to drill them into his head. Europeans expect Mohammed to become a Swede or a German as if he were some child they had adopted from an exotic country and raised as their own, and work to subsidize their European values.
