The Russian media are issuing triumphant reports that Obama’s veto of the military budget is a way to spite Ukraine (which was slated to get assistance in the budget) and signal support for Russia.
Ukrainians are baffled and are responding, “Hey, we are not nearly this important to Obama” but the exulting Russians are not listening.
As I said, all the poor buggers ever wanted is to get some love from Obama.
yeah, I listen to an Estonian station over the Internet for the music selections. The news came on and I kept hearing Obama this and Obama that(I don’t understand Estonian, but it is a lovely language) unlike other times where his name would come up once or twice. Turned out that was the day he visited that country, which I had been ignorant of until my wife told me about it.
Putin doesn’t understand internal American politics, obviously. Obama, being a lame duck whose popularity hasn’t suffered all that much, is now
President of I don’t give a Fuck. That he vetoed a defense budget is his way of trolling the Republicans, just like he trolled Putin when he compared the national GDP of Russia to that of Spain.
