Super Tuesday Thread

Hey, folks, did you hear that Virginia is too close to call for Rubio and Trump?

And Kasich is locked in with Trump in Vermont.

If the entire Republican party gets together, it might just eke out a win in a couple of towns against Trump.

On the Dem side, Virginia and Georgia are going to Hillary, it seems.

P.S. The Evangelicals in Virginia went for Trump and the non-Evangelicals went for Rubio. Interesting.

  1. “Interesting” night so far — Bernie has won three states, Cruz has won two, and Rubio (who would be the Republican with the best chance to beat Hillary in the general election) still hasn’t won a single state!

        1. Trump has already mentioned somewhere i believe that “hillary goes to jail if he wins”..

Curious of thoughts on if this motivates repubicans who hate her to come out? Or her supporters. This line, of course, is more effective if the FBI recommends charges. If the FBI doesn’t recommend then he will look dumb, but if the FBI recommends and the Obama administration and DOJ decline, Trump is probab on strong enough grounds to credibly have the new DOJ charge her. He is probably the only candidate who would be bold enough / crazy enough to use this. I find it interesting because many older educated repubs I know are skeptical of trump, but DESPISE hillary beyond all rationale merit. Curious if any takers on the effectiveness of it?

          1. The fact that Hillary and General Petraeus aren’t in chains shows at least a triple standard in American justice. Government employees who compromised and misused classified information far less than than the general did are in federal prison, and Petraeus was merely forced to resign his position and pay a fine.

Hillary deliberately violated far more rules than he did, and the Obama Department of (In)justice won’t lay a hand on her, because — well, she’s a Clinton, and the rules don’t apply to her and hubby Slick Willie.

Besides, if she were indicted, who’d carry on the Obama legacy?

      1. He sees it as a great construction project he can have a Trump related construction business do for lowest bid or no-bid. This is the only infrastructure project he’s seriously discussed if by serious you mean “kept repeating nonsense.” I’m just waiting for him to mention checkpoint charlies as a great security addition to this wonderful wall that Mexico will pay for.

  2. It occurs to me that there’s only one good thing that tonight’s two victorious candidates, Trump and Hillary, have in common — they’re both liars.

Trump is lying when he claims that he’s anti-abortion and a social conservative on retrograde issues that the Republican Party should have jettisoned decades ago.

Hillary is lying when she claims that she agrees with Obama’s foreign policy views (a turn-the-other-cheek idiocy that got a famous Jew crucified when he was barely in his thirties). To her credit, she hits back when somebody hits her.

Either one of them — and I’m not going to vote for either — would be a vast improvement over the present administration.

    1. From around 1.58 to about 3.25 he’s just going through the motions. But at 6.14 to 7.04? Wow! Amazing stuff! Drops some in intensity after that but picks back up near the end and the last 40 minutes are primo!
