Another Debate?? This Is Nuts!

OK, why is the debate in Spanish? How did I arrive in my dream universe all of a sudden?

And the fellow signing the anthem is dressed like a bullfighter.

20:38 – and Bernie just promised to resettle all of Honduras in the US. I wonder why it’s Honduras and not Nicaragua, Guatemala, the DR, Salvador, and everybody else. And there’s no need to stop there. We can resettle the whole planet here. Except for Denmark because it’s perfect as it is.

21:03 – this is the stupidest debate ever. The questions are idiotic in the extreme. Emails, Goldman Sachs speeches, Benghazi, some weepy madre resufrida – this sucks. And Bernie never sounded more Tea Party than today.

21:14 – what I don’t understand is why Bernie doesn’t just go ahead and promise to give everybody $50,000 in “free money.” The voters will love the idea. There’s literally no downside to making the promise.

21:21 – and now they put on some lying broad who says she’ll have to take out a loan to do a PhD. Which is clearly a load of steamy, malodorous BS. Is the goal of this debate to foster negative stereotypes about Hispanics?

21:46 – Bernie has now announced that Cuba has made great advances in medicine and education. Sweet Jesus on the cross. Militant ignorance is not cute.

  1. This is crazy. It’s one thing to have multiple debates to narrow the field but the same two people all over again? Ugh, no.

    I’m a politics junkie but I can’t do it.

    1. Same dialogue, too. The first sentence out of Bernie’s mouth contains the words “Citizens United.”

  2. If the candidates at least spoke in Spanish to add some variety, that would be fun. Otherwise, this is getting boring. Especially since Hillary is answering a question about the damn emails again.

    1. How well do Cruz and Rubio speak? I can’t see Trump deigning to appear on Univision unless he was going to sell something.

        1. The only Republican candidate that spoke near-fluent Spanish was Jeb Bush. Cruz has acknowledged that his Spanish is “lousy,” and Rubio doesn’t speak any Spanish in public.

Picky, picky! Okay, listen to this interview.

  4. “Except for Denmark because it’s perfect as it is.”

It’s because they don’t speak Spanish in Denmark.

  5. Hillary just took credit for “Hillarycare” (her words) — so apparently she had some agency, and some influence, on her husband’s policies, after all.

  6. “Is the goal of this debate to foster negative stereotypes about Hispanics?”

Since the debate sponsor is Univision, I seriously doubt that they’re aiming for negative Hispanic stereotypes.

  7. Free money! Free money!

I don’t really feel like I can justify getting more education based on the loans I’d have to take out. The financial return on education for me is just non existent.

  8. The moderators tonight are as weak as Wolf Blitzer was on CNN — helplessly letting Hillary and Bernie rattle on endlessly after their allotted time is up.

    1. He stunned me with the profoundness of his ignorance about Cuba. Where does he get his information? Michael Moore films?

It’s simply disgraceful to say such ignorant things in public. I’m shocked and saddened.

  9. So did we learn ANYTHING new in tonight’s debate — other than that Bernie is a brain-dead “small ‘s’ socialist” who hasn’t had a new idea in decades about those noble “small South American” lefty regimes?

    1. I’m sorry I watched. I would have preferred never to hear that whole thing about the advances Cubans supposedly made in healthcare and education. I feel almost physically hurt by these statements because I have seen those “advances” with my own eyes and I’m still traumatized. It’s inexcusable for people from rich, bountiful countries to be so careless with the tragic reality of others.

By the way, the Cubans who remained in Cuba and are currently suffering thanks to these “advances” are 87% black.
