Of course, I only caught about two seconds of coverage because the networks immediate switched to Obama’s useless speech in stupid Cuba.

The Today Show focused almost exclusively on Brussels this morning. Current count is 31 dead, 11 at the airport and 20 on the subway.

However, there’s been almost no attention to the attack in Istanbul.

The attack in Istanbul is part of a long going ethnic military conflict betwween Turks and Kurds and is understood in those terms. It sucks, but doesn’t have that much to do with the west and there’s not much the west can do about it.
The attack in Brussels, the de jure capital of the EU a few days after the arrest of someone involved in the last big attack in the EU is much more relevant.

Yes, people pay attention to what concerns them. Who here knows anything about the terror Attacks Russia suffered over the years? I don’t blame people for not knowing or not caring a whole lot.
Although I would blame them.for arguing with me about these attacks without gaining the kind of knowledge that I have.

I read a lot of Ukrainian news and there was enormous coverage of Istanbul for obvious reasons.

Tragedy, but not unexpected. Approrpriate policies will be needed to defeat this enemy. Thankfully the world is waking up and will continue that different cultures must assimilate into western values of freedom. It will be a 30 year+ effort, but the west will indeed prevail I am sure.

Cruz was in such a hurry to grab the banner of anti-PC screeching that the message is garbled and riddled with grammar mistakes. It’s like people are on the verge of losing the skill of producing coherent speech and are descending into animal growling.
