Victory Freakdom

My sister saw people carrying the Soviet flag in Montréal today. She booed them loudly.

Our grandfather was a hero of WWII but Putinoids have appropriated the victory in WWII so loudly and obnoxiously that we don’t even feel like celebrating this year. These idiots are plastering WWII-related imagery on everything, from slippers

to cars

to unsuspecting infants:

Of course, nobody who is not an idiot wants to be part of this insanity.

  1. Are they trying to compliment Putin or insult him by placing him next to Stalin? The same question goes for the slippers. Are the fallen heroes supposed to be honored by this?

    1. These days, it’s a compliment to place one next to Stalin. 😦 And the slippers are a marketing ploy. There are even invocations of WWII in brothel advertisements. I didn’t put them up here to avoid being accused of porn-mongering once again.

  2. Putting people’s faces on shoes or slippers is considered an insult in many parts of the world– but not Russia apparently?
