Ceiling Fans

It is becoming clear that Klara will probably be an air ventilation specialist when she grows up. She is endlessly fascinated with ceiling fans, and mind you, she’s never seen them move yet because we haven’t been turning them on yet.

  1. Yeah, here in Arizona we run indoor ceiling fans year-round — NEVER turn them off. (The manufacturer guarantees the motors on indoor fans for life.)

  2. I had this mobile made of origami birds my uncle had made and hung from a real tree branch with fishing line, very beautiful mobile because the birds were folded from variegated paper, so they seemed to turn colors and shimmered as they moved.

Also a few dangling Christmas ornaments because it was that time of year. All this stuff to look at, when the fans go on creating breeze that will move them, makes the world very marvelous.

  3. My prediction. She’s not interested in them as cooling devices (since you’re not using them as such despite the heat… hrmmmm)

She’s imaging the cool tricks she could do in her future career as a Circus Soleil soloist!
