Jumpy Police

The local police are understandably very tense. A neighborhood patrol officer  (not the one I wrote about yesterday) put his hand on his gun and held it there as I passed him with the pram. It’s good he’s not into profiling but it’s bad he’s so jumpy.

  1. Well, since nobody pushes babies around in “prams” anymore, you can’t blame him for being suspicious. You could easily hide a shoulder-held rocket launcher in something that big. 🙂

  2. Have you heard that the first shooter Micah Johnson

“was accused of sexually harassing female soldier in Afghanistan.
His alleged victim told superiors that he should seek ‘mental help’ while also seeking a protective order to keep him away from her and her family, wherever they went. ”

I thought he may have been traumatised by war, but “he was deployed to Afghanistan as a mason and carpenter” and “is not believed to have seen combat.”
