Thatcher #2

How come British Tories are bringing yet another woman to prime-ministership while Labour can’t do any better than silly old Corbyn?

        1. Corbyn won’t last long enough to get to be in power and make a mess. But the people already in power have make a huge mistake in having no plan of what happens if the public voted for Brexit. This really is unforgivable as there were only two possible outcomes to plan for.

    1. Why go to a referendum unless you intend to take some action on the outcome? If they intended to take action on the outcome then it was moronic not to have a plan.

  1. Because being a woman automatically makes her a better choice for Prime Minister? Or is it because she is a Tory? The current government are guilty of gross negligence by not commissioning the extensive public service to develop a Brexit plan should the vote come go that way. This should immediately disqualify any of them from being Prime Minister. As for Corbyn being silly? What evidence do you have that he has committed anywhere near this level of financial vandalism?

Governments are about planning for the future as nobody can change the past and this government has failed completely in that regard.

    1. Corbyn is an idiot. He has committed nothing because he never had a chance. He is a dangerous, angry fool.

What code of law or rule book says so? I’d like a specific quote.

      1. And don’t forget that, before the vote, Cameron agree with his Central Bank President to make a speech the morning following the vote if Brexit wins. As much as I despise Cameron, there was some planning in it.

        1. Blunt supported Brexit, so this is normal.

This is why (fortunately for me) Brexit won, even the Tories couldn’t unite themselves for the Remain. In Québec, we would never see an MLA of the Quebec Liberal Party openly supporting Quebec’s secession.

Because Theresa May was the last Tory contender standing after Boris Johnson and the other woman, Energy Minister Andrea Leadsom, both stumbled. She’s expected to be tough on immigration and to move ahead on implementing Brexit. She may also call for an early election to take advantage of Labour’s disarray under Corbyn.

    Hey, she’s a woman, she’s a Conservative — can’t beat that combination!

      1. Yes, isn’t it great that her female genitals will TOTALLY counteract her appalling politics? Because she’s female, we overlook what she’s doing to the HE sector, and her party’s campaign against any kind of welfare, disability, pensions, education etc.?

Corbyn speaks for the needs and concerns of ‘ordinary people’ outside London, for our ‘99%’ers. He has many flaws, but he is saying something NONE of the Westminster ‘elite’ are saying.

  4. Maybe it’s like U.S. Democrats nominating straight white Protestant men from the South in the late 20th century (Carter, Bill Clinton, Gore) – you want your party’s symbol to be from a group that favors the other party, but could potentially give yours some support.
