Another act of terror in France took place this evening. This is extremely disturbing. As the French are celebrating the birth of modernity, the greatest freedoms that the Bastille Day stands for are at risk.

Wait for Obama’s speech tomorrow. After the terrorist attack in Orlando, he said that the solution was to ban guns.

This is the probably the new normal of western Europe for the next several years, an Islamist terror attack that kills a few dozen people followed by the governments admonishing the population to not get any ideas about populism….

At least 84 killed. Ironically,
\ Hollande had announced just hours earlier, while marking France’s national day celebrating the birth of the world’s first republic, that he would lift the state of emergency that was put in place after the November killings.
I notice the terrorist’s profile is as expected:
1) Muslim (I mean ethnic group, like when everybody says “Jewish” in Israel, they mean ethnicity, not being religious) – “a 31-year-old Tunisian born, French-Tunisian citizen”
2) Violence and/or usual crime prior to committing the terrorist act – “He was not on the watch list of French intelligence services, but was known to police in connection with common law crimes such as theft and violence, the source said.”
