I don’t like the institution of First Ladyism but Michelle Obama is great. She gave a very powerful speech. What a brilliant, profound person.
I’ve liked all the speeches so far. Which is strange, I expected to be bored. There are some good public speakers at this convention. They inspire me to go work on my research.

Yes. I feel as you do: First Ladies are embarrassing in general. And Michelle Obama has really “leaned in” to the “First Lady” persona. But her speech was so wonderful and so beautifully delivered that it made me feel admiration and hope for the country. I do hope the Democrats can pull it together. As a group they truly have so much more to offer than the Republicans. This was a good first day: let’s keep them coming. 🙂

I live in Europe, so I can watch the campaign more relaxed.
BUT I still can’t believe that millions of americans are willing to vote for that nut-case Trump.
Michelle Obama gave a nice speech indeed.
