Klara has figured out the connection between the remote and the TV. She is fascinated with the remote, and whenever I give it to her, she pokes it with her little finger and looks at the TV screen.

I assume that Klara hasn’t yet reformatted your television screen image to a bizarre format,or erased your list of favorite channels that it took you hours to customize. 🙂

It’s all fun and games until she points at you and N pokes some bushes then looks disappointed and resigned when you’re both still there….

Or until she points the remote at you and N, and then laughs as N becomes covered with stripes and then disappears.
And then points at you, and smiles evilly before hesitating, as if daring you to try to grab the remote in your last moment of existence…
(Okay, I occasionally write — and even sell — bad science fiction tales. But are you SURE that this might not happen?) 🙂
