The Price of Snobbery

I never go to Shop ‘n Save because I hate the name (nobody saves when they shop. People save when they don’t shop. What kind of idiots do they think we are?) but today I went, and what do you think?

They have turkey necks.

All these years I’ve been living right next to an abundance of turkey necks and I had no idea. Serves me right for snobbing all over  Shop ‘n Save.

….are you happy that you had no idea or were you looking for turkey necks in vain? And why would you be looking for turkey necks? I think I must have missed an episode or three….

The idea is that some fixed market basket in Shop ‘n Save will cost less than (buying the same basket) in another supermarket. If it’s true than shopping there will indeed help one spend less on food.

As for saving by not shopping. If one chooses to save by not buying any food, the savings will quickly be spent on … funeral services? 🙂
