You realise ‘bint’ has racist and sexist overtones, being a British borrowing of the Arabic word for daughter applied to “native girlfriends” of British colonial military personnel originally? So essentially meaning someone not much better than a prostitute, not fit to be married. It has a range of less directly offensive dialectal meanings in modern British English, but if anyone called me a bint regardless of dialectal origin I would be spitting mad – it’s NOT a nice word, and I appreciate you don’t like this Stein person, but still… referring rudely to other women using a term which implies they’re sexually disposable is not great in a political argument. There are so many great words for daft/tone deaf/unthinking – pillock, numptie, idiot – or daft, tone-deaf or unthinking themselves maybe?
If you meant it for irony, apologies for being cloth-eared to that!.

I’d be surprised if more than 1 % or so of Americans had ever heard it all.
I first heard it from Brits back in the 90s and after congratualing myself for working out the etymology figured out that it was usually used much like ‘wench’ was at the time in the US, a watered down version of bitch.
I hardly have any contact with Brits at present (including media*) so I have no idea if it’s still in use.
*the main exception is My Dad Wrote a Porno, the funniest podcast in history…. Warning: do not drive, or eat (or do anything requiring fine motor coordination) while listening.

Well it’s still in use in my part of the UK, and it’s used dismissively here, just a slightly more publically usable version of c**t – it’s got that nasty combination of “silly little girl” and “slag” going for it which makes it hugely offensive to use for an adult politician, whether one likes their politics or not.

From what I can tell c*nt isn’t nearly as bad in the UK as it is in the US (at least applied to men). I’ve hard British guys call each other that in a kind of good natured breaking balls kind of way that would never work for Americans.
On the other hand from what I can tell wanker (kind of a joke word for most Americans) is fightin’ words in the UK (for women at least).
