I’m at the emergency room. At the pediatrician’s , we had discovered that Klara is fine, thank God, but I’m at death’s door because of disregarding my blood pressure for months. Eight months and two weeks, to be exact.
The trouble I’m having at the emergency room is figuring out who’s medical personnel and who is wearing costume. I had no idea doctors are that into Halloween.
Woah, what happened? I hope it’s nothing serious and you get attended to quickly.

I’m not having a heart attack is the most recent update. But a stroke is still possible. Totally 100% my fault.

Oh please don’t say it’s your fault. You are so young for a stroke. My thoughts are with you. This is so scary. But your language skills are still clearly working. So that’s a good thing.

Oh yeah, I’m translating for a Hispanic patient here in the waiting room. I think it’s actually helping me.

The blood pressure went through the roof. I’ve known something was going on for days but I never went to the doctor. Which was not smart.

Didn’t mean to hit thumbs up there. Try deep breathing as you wait. It’s amazing what continuous deep breaths can do for blood pressure. (I have a tendency towards high blood pressure myself.) For more long term, I highly recommend yoga and/or meditation.
