Yesterday’s Debacle

Yesterday was about bored people in an opulent society treating national politics as a joke that it’s rapidly becoming.

People simply want something fun to watch on their huge TVs. Nobody is  victim, nobody is in distress. It’s all about sated, burpy boredom of the jaded and the spoiled.

  1. Oh I think this is about the revenge of white people and the revenge of the religious right. This is about entertainment, true. And that’s partly what fueld Trump.

But it’s also about a desire to punish women, minorities, gay people, the non-religious. Just watch…..abortion rights will disappear; DOMA will somehow come back; all sort of egregious things will happen.

But a white rich man is back in charge of the free world. So these low lifes can rest easy again.

      1. He won more of the minority vote than Romney: true. But it is still largely white people that voted him in. If it was only minorities voting, Trump would have lost.

    Aggrieved entitlement.

  3. I have to take a small victory lap for being right on the polls being wrong, and certainly that it would be a blowout. That was always wishful thinking by some.

Trump now has the opportunity to be a change agent not seen since FDR and maybe reagan. WIll he, who knows, but every single person i have heard lavished praise on his very gracious, unifying speech last night. and now we wait to see how he delivers. Only real fear of liberals i think they have right is that supreme court is likey conservatie for another 20-30 years now, but the rest of the concerns very overblown

    1. Oh Matt. You mean well. But please. Your immature and idiotic “analysis” is just not what any of us are in the mood for. Plus, if you think Trump is gracious and Obama isn’t, you need to really take a moment and face how very racist you are. Obama was a true change agent and you are too bigoted and, sadly stupid, to understand the world around you and what you voted in.

      1. In shock i get it. so only thing i will correct is i did not say obama was not gracious. So you can kindly repeal your racist label…

he was not a change agent. history has proved that. super open in admiting that we will see if trump turns into one or not. he is by far the most outsider ever to be elected president, certainly a potential indicator of being a change agent.

But if you keep up the blanket racism claims (will give you a week or two to calm down, after that its unacceptable demogagory ) democrats will not win more than one presidential election before 2050

    2. No, the real problem is that the KGB installed their own puppet president of the US. Talking about who won the Cold War. But hey, if you are fine with that, it’s your right.

There are about 5,000 kkk members in the united states. each one a vile piece of shit. they are vile, but irrelevant for him winning. anyone dumb enough to go out on the bridge like that will have no power in the upcoming administration. you will disagree, but VAST majority of republicans concur with me on kkk so please don’t use ridiculous comments. it hurts you

  4. Although Trump did not win the popular vote, he is entitled to exactly as much respect for his person and the person elected to that office as he has shown toward the current holder’s office and person. No more, no less.
