Understanding Ukranians

Just so that you get a glimpse of who we are: when my mother came to visit, she traveled with her own meat grinder that is bigger and weighs more than Klara. And then she traveled back home with it.

Well to be fair, you never know when you’ll be called upon to make a large amount of sausages, cabbage rolls or pierogi filling. The first time she travels without it I’m sure she’ll be confronted with a lage pile of meat and a bunch of people expecting to be be fed…. NOW!

A friend of mine is inviting his mother from the other side of Poland for the holidays. Since she makes what are probably the best pierogies in the history of Poland (I’ll avoid an international incident and not mention any other countries)hHe’s wondering if he could diplomatically suggest she bring her meat grinder (ostensibly he’s inviting her to keep relatives from having her work non-stop to supply them).
