I’m not a citizen but I’ve already won an election in this country. I’m going to be a union rep. That’s the best kind of political engagement I can think of right now.

Congratulations! The destruction of unions is one part of how the world ended up in its current mess, making them strong again can help be part of undoing the damage.
And I’m wondering how long before you lose your temper and have a Norma Rae moment in the middle of a meeting to remind them why they’re there.
