With a Child In Public

Being in public spaces with a child is very different than being there alone. When I’m with Klara, it’s as if the world were transformed by a stroke of magic into a place where everybody is a lot happier, kinder and is glowing with generosity and joy.

It’s a great culture where people are so into kids. Of course, Klara is so cute, sociable and funny that it’s impossible not to melt in her presence.

  1. Very true in general, and especially if you have an adorable kid, like Klara.

This was also true with my oldest two, but is very pronounced with Smurf, soon to be 6, who is ridiculously cute. He is like a little sun, a never-still chatterbox that radiates joy; there is no one whom he encounters and who doesn’t immediately melt.

hmmm…. he has not met me…..

No aspersions, just sayin’ my immunity to infantile charms is almost legendary. I like small children, I just don’t go all googie at them.
